Easter Egg Alternatives
Dying eggs was something my kids loved doing when they were young.
Armed with a dozen eggs, each set off to choose their own dyes. The latter was a production all unto itself and often took longer than the entire dying process.
Now there are beautiful Easter egg alternatives that go above and beyond the old food coloring and vinegar method.
I’m fascinated by the colors produced by plants and berries.…
and who knew that a few drops of nail polish would create this kind of effect?
I’m particularly drawn to the hues produced by the blueberries and red cabbage in this chart from Pinterest….
Whatever method you choose, enjoy the process and the results.
Happy holiday weekend!
