Prepping for Summer

Prepping for Summer

Nothing says summer in France like woven market baskets.

Whether hanging in groups from a shelf or resting on a bench filled with flowers or props, they impart a casual elegance perfect for the warm days ahead.

I am forever adding to my collection.  We will be adding several styles to our shop soon.  If you would like to reseve or request a size just send us an email!

Easter Egg Alternatives

Easter Egg Alternatives

Dying eggs was something my kids loved doing when they were young.

Armed with a dozen eggs, each set off to choose their own dyes.  The latter was a production all unto itself and often took longer than the entire dying process.

Now there are beautiful Easter egg alternatives that go above and beyond the old food coloring and vinegar method.

I’m fascinated by the colors produced by plants and berries.

and who knew that a few drops of nail polish would create this kind of effect?

I’m particularly drawn to the hues produced by the blueberries and red cabbage in this chart from Pinterest….

and the grape juice from this selection.

Whatever method you choose, enjoy the process and the results.

Happy holiday weekend!

Neutral Decorating in a London Home

Neutral Decorating in a London Home

It’s hard to pick a favorite….

Suffice it to say that I’m pretty smitten by them all.

From the vintage pieces repurposed as cabinetry, to the simple sink resting atop a cabinet in the bath every item showcases the thought and creativity that went in to creating this lovely residence.
